Less than an hour from Manhattan, you’ll find Woodbury Common Premium Outlet, which includes over 220 designer stores. There you will find well-known designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Gap Outlet, Nike Factory Store, Polo Ralph Lauren, Salvatore Ferragamo, Timberland, Michael Kors, and many many more.
And from the Port Authority Bus Terminal (42nd Street at 8th Avenue) you can easily get there and back by bus (ShortLine / Coach USA). In addition, you can benefit from a discount booklet worth several hundred dollars if you are a holder of the New York Pass. Since the New York Pass is already profitable in the city, this is a small additional bonus on top. Or you can simply use the bus that takes you directly from Penn Station to the outlet (information on tickets is available here).

The Tanger Outlets are also in the immediate vicinity of New York – approx. 1.5 to 2 hours away. And two on Long Island: the Riverhead and Deer Park Outlet.
We know both of them personally from a shopping tour where I covered my whole family with sports gear. At that time we had borrowed a car and used it to visit these two outlets for a shopping trip. If you visit the outlet in summer, you should definitely make a detour to the beach.
Current coupons: The outlets always offer a coupon booklet where you can get additional discounts. These range from Buy 1 get 1 free to a 60% discount. Current coupons can be found on this page.

Neiman Marcus, Cartier, Forty-Five Ten, Louis Vuitton, Coach, Dior, and Piaget line up door and door with many other luxury labels. But the most popular mainstream stores such as Zara, H&M, and Uniqlo are also represented.
The Jersey Gardens Outlet is one of the most popular shopping destinations near New York. Located in New Jersey, it is exempt from VAT, so you save another 9% compared to buying in New York.
How do you get to the Jersey Gardens Outlet? It is well connected in terms of traffic. On the bus, you will arrive directly at the outlet in 34 minutes. You start at the Port Authority Bus Terminal (between 8th and 9th Avenues and 40th to 42nd Streets) – the blue MTA Trains A, C and E stop here.
When you arrive at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, you have to take lines 111 and 115 from NJtransit. You have to buy the roundtrip tickets there beforehand and you can also give the bus number (111 or 115). The buses run very regularly (about 1 an hour). The timetable for bus line 111 can be found here as a PDF and here the timetable for line 115.
According to the timetable, the journey takes a little more than half an hour – but it also depends a little on traffic. The bus back to New York leaves exactly where you arrived. When you arrive at the Jersey Gardens Outlet: have fun shopping.
Jersey Gardens Outlet opening times: Mon – Sat: 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Sun: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
On almost 200,000 square meters, 400 stores ensure the ultimate shopping experience. Just 20 kilometers from Manhattan, the mall is the largest in the state of New Jersey.
In the small town of Paramus, New Jersey, the heart of shopping beats faster. This saves you money from your vacation budget because in New Jersey you don’t pay any taxes on clothing and shoes, which are incurred with every purchase in New York.
Sure, there is plenty to choose from in a mall of this size. But the selection of stores in the Garden State Plaza Mall was well chosen. It is often the case that one unnecessary store is lined up next to the other. In addition to the large department stores such as Macy’s, J.C. Penney, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, and Neiman Marcus you will find stores of great labels such as Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, Superdry, Apple, or Abercrombie here.
It continues with Converse, Gap, Hollister, Steve Madden, H&M, GUESS, COACH, MAC Cosmetics, or a Lacoste store. This is just a hint of what to expect. Here is a list of all the stores in the Garden State Mall.
